Arcadia Books was founded in 1996 by Gary Pulsifer, and has since its inception been passionately committed to publishing a wide and diverse range of voices, with an especially strong list of international literature in translation. Over the years Arcadia and its authors and translators have received numerous prizes, including multiple IPG Diversity Awards. The list has grown to include ground-breaking reportage, prizewinning works of travel narrative, crime fiction from across Europe and some of the best literary fiction from sixty countries.

 

In September 2021, Arcadia Books was acquired by bwin to sit within the MacLehose Press imprint.
